Hair care products (along with skin care) are something I don't mind spending a little extra money on because you tend to get your money's worth. This is a round up of my current favourite products which leave my hair with the look and texture that I desire - soft to the touch and shiny to look at. Who doesn't look for that in their hair care!?
I apply the legendary Morrocanoil to the very ends of my hair when it has been drying for a while but is still a little damp. It adds some lightness to the ends whilst ensuring they are silky soft. Out of all the hair oils I have tried, this leaves your hair in the best condition so I will always use it when I feel my hair needs a bit of TLC.
If I don't use Morrocanoil, I will use this and apply it a little more liberally. It's not as heavy as the Morrocan Oil so you can add more without any sign of oily residue throughout your locks. It leaves a noticeable shine and for the amount you get compared to Morrocanoil, it's definitely worth trying out.
I was so excited to finally get my hands on this leave in conditioner. It works wonders when you're combing through wet hair - you will wonder where all the knots have gone! It de-tangles and gives your hair a boost of moisture that you may have lost when washing.
A new find, I apply this to the most brittle parts of my hair. Since using it, I have definitely noticed a difference in the condition of my hair. I used to have a lot of fall out when combing or brushing but now the amount is extremely minimal and broken ends are no more! It also provides heat protection so that's a great bonus for heat styling addicts!
But my favourite of the bunch is the Hair Repair by Sachajuan.
This is a conditioning repair mask that you leave on for 5-10 minutes after shampooing, then rinse out. Not only does it leave your hair smelling fresh and oh so clean, but it gives it softness like no other product I have ever used, giving instant and noticeable hydration. It costs a little more than I would usually spend on my hair care but after trying it out, it's definitely something I will be repurchasing.
What are your favourite hair care products? I would love to know which shampoos you recommend.
P.S. - Who has read Fleur de Force's Glam Guide? :)
