If you've had Montezuma's chocolate before then you know delicious it is. The high quality chocolate bars, truffles and hot chocolate powders are all divine and I am working my way through them at quite a pace! I have tried several flavours of the chocolates and truffles but it may take me quite some time to get through their entire range! I'll give it a go though.
There were so many gift sets all wrapped up and ready to give as Christmas presents and I spent a little while eyeing them all up and deciding which ones I would be adding to my Christmas list. I really liked the sound of the 'lemon meringue' chocolate as this is one that I haven't seen before on previous visits to the shop.
Upstairs is a cute little café which I have often peered into but never had the time to actually go in and take a seat so I was very much looking forward to finally having a drink there. The till is covered in home made goodies ranging from salted caramel shortbread to gooey brownies. Today I was looking to indulge in a drink and the menu had lots to choose from. They have lovely flavours such as cinnamon, gingerbread and even spiced chilli to add to their coffee and they're all made with the best quality goods.
One of the great things about Montezuma's is that they work to please everyone. Not only do they sell dairy free chocolate but they also sell gluten free and soya free goods. I like somewhere which caters to everyone's needs so that no one misses out!
I went with the 'American Idol hot chocolate with salted caramel', complete with shavings of salted caramel flavoured chocolate on top. I've only ever tried salted caramel in chocolate form but this drink was actually better than any of the chocolate I have ever tried. It was so creamy and not overly sickly or salty. The froth was perfect too which is very important to me when it comes to coffee and hot chocolate!
I bought the 'Christmas Chocolate Library'. The pack comes with five bars of chocolate in both milk and dark chocolate with tasty and unique flavours. I think every single one will be absolutely delicious! The quality of Montezuma's chocolate really is the best of the best and it takes just a single cube to take in the flavours!
I will be heading back to Montezuma's very soon and will be adding a panini to my order next time too as they had all the best ingredients on the menu. Have any of you been to Montezuma's? I feel as though I will be a regular there and it will become my go-to coffee shop!
