Whilst I am very much into my skincare, eye cream is something that I used to overlook. In the past, I would tell myself how important it is, use it every morning and night for a week and then it would gradually make its way to the depths of my skin care bag and not see the light of day again until I once again had the realisation that I'm 23 and it's best to start protecting skin against ageing as soon as possible!
Recently, this has changed and it's all down to one little pot that's causing quite a buzz in the skin care world. Whilst laziness was the main reason I was neglecting my under eyes, my sensitive skin also played a role. It's not often that I come across an eye cream that doesn't aggravate my eyes and even when I do think I've found one, it can randomly cause irritation. This has not happened with this product and so whilst it does have a fairly hefty price tag, I wanted to mention it in case you are in the same, sensitive boat as me and need something that's actually going to do it's job without upsetting your skin!
Bee Venom Eyes is created from only natural and organic ingredients, including shea butter, essential oils and river silt. What is river silt I hear you ask! Well, before I babble on about the scientific parts and lack much sense, here's how Heaven Skincare sum it up:
"River Silt works with the enzymes of fish. The river bed collects marine collagen over hundreds of years, from fish enzymes, which gather in the river silt and help the skin by boosting collagen. River silt is full of amino acids and bentonite which remove impurities and toxins from the skin."
It also feeds skin tissue, as well as firming and tightening skin which enables the cream to work it's anti-ageing, rejuvenating wonders. I know, it all sounds very fancy but when you invest in a good skincare product, you kind of want the in depth description to go with it, don't you?
I found the texture of this cream surprising. It is lightly whipped, yet gives an aerated but creamy feeling on the skin. There’s simply no other way to describe it than heavenly as it literally melts into your skin. Whilst it's not the thickest of consistencies, it is the most nourishing and moisturising eye cream I have ever tried, which also makes it a lovely base for make up. So it's goodbye dry skin, hello hydration and softness!
Do you think you'll give it a go?
